[Yonkers, New York]--In 2007, a "drought" was claimed throughout food banks in America. Cuts in certain federal funding, and an increased need due to the lagging economy have left shelves bare, and families hungry. The Food Bank of New York, one of New York's largest providers of local food pantries marks a 55 percent increase in the number of New Yorkers who have difficulty affording food. Surprisingly this group is mostly middle income households that are struggling to deal with the rise of the cost of living.

tonight, I was mentioned on the radio tonight with WBAI pacifica radio
for a special program on peace related events happening in 100 days --
11 days of global unity.

I will be planning a
New York City event for 11 days on Friday Sept 12. I am looking for a
team, to help me prepare this. It will be produced with a very low
budget, comparatively to the festival. Ideally, I would love to do
central park. I do not have a venue. I will be putting together the
