Tonight at 7pm EST, Brave New Foundation is launching In Their Boots, a weekly 30 minute live webcast that will profile the challenges American service members and
their families face once they return home from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is an innovative and provactive way to chronicle the experiences of returning vets, even after they have arrived back from service.

The first webisode will feature Cpl. Alan Babin, Jr. an army medic who sustained injuries during his tour in Iraq, and his mother, Rose Babin. Afterwards, you can participate in a moderated discussion with Rosie and other experts in accessing VA/health services for returning vets.

Every week, a new webisode will feature other returning service members and their families, addressing many important issues relating from PTSD, to VA benefits, to civilian reintegration challenges. You can join the dialogue with families and policy experts as we hear personal encounters of veterans that allows to see what it is like to be "In Their Boots."

As a proud member of a military family --some of whom are serving abroad now--I look forward to connecting with others about the resources, support networks, and their experiences. To find out additional ways to support policies for returning vets, visit GI Bill 2008.
