I was ecstatic to wake up after a nap at 8:30p to see on TV that Obama would be our next president. Berkeley students and citizens were taking to the streets on Bancroft and Telegraph amassing in a huge crowd cheering yelling dancing clapping for Obama and the future  of our country.

According to a NY Times investigation, voter rolls have been trimmed in six states-- Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Nevada and North Carolina--as a result of state governments botching compliance with 2002 election leigslation meant to overhaul and streamline the voter registration process.

Vote or get fined. Or, vote for the wrong guy, and get your passport confiscated.

Americans across the country continue to countdown to Election Day, constantly checking who's in the lead and according to what poll. Even the world is watching, as is evident in blogs and comments left on YouTube pages related to the present elections. In the meantime, I recognize that there other issues that haven't really been discussed, including immigration.
